Vivo is a Pittsburgh-based startup company that offers a web-based application for broadcasting live video, as well as a suite of tools to interact with viewers and monetize video content.  Vivo was funded by Innovation Works' AlphaLab program, and is rapidly growing its company and customer base.

Vivo is currently seeking applicants for a web application developer internship position that will assist with all aspects of developing Vivo's broadcasting application.

A successful candidate:

- Should attend college in the Greater Pittsburgh region or be a recent graduate

- Should major in computer science, computer engineering, information science, or a related field with equivalent skills

- Should be able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week

- Should have achieved successful outcomes on web-based projects either through coursework or work experience

- Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Should be comfortable working in a small team setting, but also willing to complete work independently at times

Experience with the following technologies are a must:

- PHP

- MySQL

- HTML

- CSS

- Javascript and Ajax

Ideally, the candidate should also be familiar with the following:

- PHP frameworks such as CakePHP or Zend Framework

- Javascript frameworks such as jQuery

- Design patterns

- Unit testing

- Version control

- Flash and Actionscript

- REST

- Objective C
